USA VERSUS MEXICO COMES TO RIO RANCHO, NEW MEXICO

The Arena Soccer National Teams of USA (USNAST) and Mexico will bring the fast-moving, high scoring game of Arena Soccer to the Santa Ana Star Center, as part of their 2017 Summer Tour on Friday, September 22, 2017 as preparations continue for both teams for the World Minifootball Federation World Cup this October in Tunisia. USA will take on Mexico in the game, set to kickoff at 7 p.m. at Santa Ana Star Center. Doors for the game will open at 6 p.m. Tickets, starting at $13, are on sale at the box office. “Some of the best players in North America are coming to New Mexico to showcase the game of Arena Soccer,” said Bernie Lilavois, the general manager of the USNAST. “We want to thank the Santa Ana Star Center for hosting this game and hope that fans will come and check out what arena soccer is all about.” Arena soccer is played much like ice hockey, on a surface the size of a hockey rink, with six players on the field at the same time. Players are able to substitute during the run of play, with certain penalties resulting in man advantage situations. Scoring is increased on the smaller surface, with games featuring 20 or more total goals scored between the two teams. Rosters for the game will be announced in the upcoming weeks. More information on the USNAST and the game can be found online at usnast.com
